Sunday Morning Glories

Posted in Life tagged , at 11:46 pm by Elaine Petrowski

These stunning specimens are still blooming in my northern New Jersey garden. A small thing to be thankful for on a bright, brisk Sunday morning. The vine still has literally thousands of buds and is tirelessly chugging along, apparently unaware of the likelihood of frost. Being in the moment.

My goodness, absolutely lovely morning glories, my favorite color too! I am green with envy. I have not been able to get them to grow for us here in Pennsylvania. The squirrels seem to get to them before they have a chance to bloom. Any suggestions, anyone?

  2. Oh the color of those morning glories – thanks for sharing them – of the three packets of expensive seeds I planted this year – only 1 vine in a large pot on my deck bloomed. – I think maybe I’ve had 4 blooms total for it – and I cover it with a sheet at night to keep it from freezing.
